London's highest hotel and with its bar GŎNG, the highest bar in Europe, this was an unexpected wonder on London's South Bank.
London's Shangri-La, At the Shard, London was an unexpected surprise. Not traditionally on my booking radar, both the hotel and area has now firmly placed it there. Located in London's iconic Shard on floors 34 to 52, Shangri-La London provides some of the finest views in the city whether from your room, TĪNG - its restaurant with British food with Asian influences, GŎNG - the highest bar in Europe, or its Infinity Pool or 24 hours gym - just stunning!
If that wasn't enough, it was the location and area that really impressed me. The area reminded me of NYC's Meatpacking District, from the Borough Market to trendy Bermondsey Street, you will be a few streets away from food and drinks heaven. Well located for touring London and is walkable to many top attractions or as it sits right on top of the Tube's London Bridge stop on both the Northern and Jubilee lines, you are only 3 stops from Westminster or 4 stops from Green Park and more.
